Hi! My name is Kathryn. I’m a full-time working mom from the Front Range of Colorado. I married the boy that I fought with on the playground and swore off in eighth grade. We got married after college and had a Jerry Springer-esque journey to now (we’ve come a long way). We have two wild, stroke-inducing adventurers that live with us (that I also birthed). I kinda like them.

We live in Waco, Texas where I work from my home office as a Regional Manager for Compassion International. I am also a freelance copywriter, public relations/communications consultant, and blogger.

I like watching mind-numbing reality television and reading thought-provoking books on culture and religion in equal measure. I don’t cook, read the news, or buy organic as much as I should. I enjoy dessert, Us Weekly, and Nicholas Sparks more than I should. I never make my bed, do my nails, or exfoliate. I always RSVP, floss, and give second chances.

I grew up in a progressive Southern Baptist home. Didn’t know those existed, did you? With parents that adhered to traditional theology and progressive ideology, I grasped the depth of the Gospel message while also feeling quite comfortable not knowing all of the answers to today’s pressing issues. So if you ask, I’ll likely say, “I don’t know.”

So, now that we’re friends please call me Kate, and read along as I discover each day that the redos of life are often the things I least expect to make me better, but have shaped and molded me into the person I am today.
